What is the vision for women Ministry?
The
vision is for our women to reach their full potential and to enjoy life in its
fullness.
To empower women to be participants in building the Kingdom of God.
What happens with Women’s Ministry at
Malaga?
Meeting
once a week every Saturday for Bible study
- Meeting to discuss general issues about women,
e.g., how to visit some families, when there
is a new birth, marriages, or death.
- Participate
in Christian functions such as engaging in cooking, cleaning, arranging
the functions.
When do people meet and what do they do?
- Meet once a week for Bible study, read the Bible, reflect on the text and ask
questions.
- We sometimes meet in homes chosen by the group, or meet at parks for sharing food
and have fun together.
What kind of support are women looking for?
- Training in areas of home economics.
- Simple Bible knowledge, introductory.
- Leadership
training.
- Sunday
schools training.
- How
to support young girls.
- Financial support for various women programs.
What kind of support is provided for women?
- Facilities provided include the
meeting hall, kitchen, computers, typing, photocopy machine available and power point projector.
- Clergy support in terms of teaching and advice.
Where can women go to find help?
- Women turn always to their congregations for help.
- Well-wishers and visitors who come to see women’s activities.
- Multicultural groups through the Diocese of Perth.
- Support from members.
Who could someone contact to find out more
information?
- Information can be obtained from Malaga Communuity Centre
- Women Leaders such as the Rev Martha Kongor, the Rev Joice Rianga
and from the priest in charge of the Malaga Community Centre.
